The purpose of the BBHS cheer squad is to unify students, alumni and fans in support of Bishop Blanchet High School and those within the community. Additionally, cheerleaders enhance a positive game-day atmosphere, motivate fan support, entertain the crowd, promote school spirit, and represent the school at athletic, campus and community events.  The Bishop Blanchet Cheer squad is open to all Sophomore, Junior and Senior students. Students try out and are selected for their athletic ability as well as their commitment to Bishop Blanchet High School. Students must have a 2.0 GPA in order to try out and to remain active on the squad. The cheer squad seeks to promote positive sportsmanship, increase fan support at athletic events and promote school spirit at BBHS as well as in the greater community.

Members of the cheer squad are held to the academic standards, code of conduct, and all other requirements as outlined in the BBHS Athletic Handbook and the regulations set forth by the WIAA.

When and where the Squad meets:

During the summer, the squad meets three days a week, three hours per day. During the school year, the squad practices between two and four days per week. Cheerleaders attend all varsity football games in the fall and all varsity basketball games in the winter. Additionally, cheerleaders perform at assemblies, promote school spirit and help lead their fellow students in school-sponsored activities.
